I am catching the light in nature. This poppies field is near Bünsdorf at my second studio in Schleswig-Holstein. I love how delicate these beauties are and they defy the sometimes strong wind in these areas. Here in "Summer In Bloom 3" the sunset is setting in and the scene becomes dreamy and enchanted. I created the oil painting on canvas with brushes and palette knives.

I use the three basic colors to create the shades that suit me. White is a reserve of the paper. My inspiration comes mainly from the nature that surrounds me and which I observe with attention and joy. In this watercolor, "The debutantes at the spring ball", I represented the crocuses which brighten up our meadows and which open the spring ball!
